Master of Abstracted Realism: 50 Years of Contemporary Oil on Canvas
Welcome to the cornerstone of my 50-year career in fine art. This gallery features my original oil paintings on canvas, where I explore the 'Abstracted Realism' style—a concept I developed to blend high-contrast realism with evocative, abstract depth. As a Brazilian-born American artist based in Hollywood, Florida, my work often draws from the vibrant energy of my heritage and the endangered beauty of Florida’s wildlife. In celebration of my 2026 Golden Jubilee, these pieces represent a half-century of capturing the feelings of living things through light, texture, and color.

The First Internet Art Commission: A Modern History (1995)
In September 1995, while the world was still discovering the "World Wide Web," the Brazilian-American artist Naza made history. Through a chance encounter on Yahoo Chat, she connected with Tim Hulings, who was looking for something extraordinary for his mother's birthday.
What followed was the first documented art commission in internet history. Naza traveled to the Hulins' home in West Virginia to capture the perfect reference for the portrait. She photographed Mrs. Hulins kneeling by her favorite flower bed, surrounded by the peaceful beauty of her garden.
While the original scene included a loyal dog and sheep nearby, Naza's artistic vision focused entirely on the connection between the woman and her flowers. The final oil painting became the centerpiece of a historic birthday celebration, and the story was later featured in the Sun-Sentinel as a pioneer moment in the digital age.
Today, this 1995 commission stands as a testament to Naza's lifelong journey as a Visionary—a journey that continues with her latest "Never-Ending" digital masterpieces.
